About West End DC Community Association
Our Mission: One Community - One Voice
The West End DC Community Association is an unincorporated community organization dedicated to improving the District of Columbia’s West End community and its interests by strengthening relationships between West End neighbors, supporting businesses that serve our community, educational institutions, local government and other neighborhood groups. WEDCCA strives to promote civic and social welfare, diversity and quality of life in the West End and help to provide a positive experience for the thousands of national and international visitors that stay and visit our neighborhood annually, promoting historic preservation, safety, beautification, information, education and connections for West End residents.
- Promote the interests of the residents and businesses of the West End and address issues of broad-based concern and relevance, through advocacy, litigation and other actions;
- Engage with the District of Columbia Government, Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2A and such other ANCs whose actions may affect the West End, and other relevant stakeholders on matters and projects affecting the West End community;
- Support responsible development that promotes positive growth and preserves the neighborhood's character; and
- Gather and disseminate information about the West End and relevant West End community issues.
Geographic Boundaries: For the purposed of determining eligibility for membership in the Association, the Association’s geographic boundaries are that portion of the District of Columbia that is bounded by K Street Northwest to the South, Rock Creek Park to the West and North, and New Hampshire Avenue Northwest and 20th Street Northwest to the East.
